Mode 3 Type 2 to Type 2 EV charging cable for AC charging at home, at work and at public stations. Choose 7.2kW single-phase or 22kW three-phase, in 5 m, 7 m or 10 m.

This cable connects a charging station or wallbox with a Type 2 socket to a vehicle with a Type 2 inlet. The weather-resistant TPU jacket is made for everyday outdoor use, and a carry bag keeps it tidy in your boot.

Before you buy: Charging speed is set by your car’s onboard charger, the station’s output and your power supply, not by the cable alone. Check your vehicle’s inlet type and maximum AC charging rate in the manual. Not sure which power or length you need? See Which version should I choose? below.

【Two power ratings, one cable design】:Pick 7.2kW single-phase (32A) for typical home and single-phase setups, or 22kW three-phase (32A) if your car, station and supply can use it. You only pay for the capability you can actually use.

【Three lengths for different parking setups】:5 m suits most driveways and kerbside posts. 7 m gives extra room for angled bays, wall units on the far side of a garage or inlets on the opposite side of the car. 10 m is for awkward layouts where the charger is far from the parking spot. Measure the route from your charger to your car’s inlet first, including the bend around the car.

【UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY】:This Type 2 to Type 2 cable (Mode 3, IEC 61851-1 / Mennekes connector) is compatible with all BEVs and PHEVs equipped with a Type 2 charging port — including popular models such as Model 3/Y, Sealion 7, 7X, Atto 1-3, EX5, MG4, and more. Use it safely at any public or private Type 2 charging station or wallbox.

【BUILT FOR SAFETY】:Certified to CE, TÜV, and RCM standards. The rugged TPU housing is IP-rated for weather resistance and UL94V-0 fire-retardant rated, giving you confidence to charge outdoors — rain, heat, or cold — without worry. The cable also resists abrasion and stays flexible in a wide temperature range.

【PLUG AND PLAY DESIGN】:Power rating and voltage information is clearly marked at the base of each plug, so you always connect the correct end with confidence. Simple, intuitive, and tested for long-term reliability — rated for 10,000+ no-load insertion cycles.

【COMPLETE CHARGING KIT】:Every cable comes with a carrying bag, a cleaning cloth, and a securing strap — everything you need to keep your setup organized, protected, and easy to store in your trunk. Lightweight and portable, so you can charge at home, at the office, or wherever you go.

Frequently Asked Questions

Choose the one that matches your weakest link: car, station or supply. If everything is single-phase, 7.2kW is enough. If your car accepts 11kW or 22kW on AC and your station is 3-phase, choose 22kW. See the table in Compatibility & Limits.
Measure the route from your charger to your car’s inlet, including any bend around the car, and choose the shortest length that reaches comfortably. 5 m suits most driveways, 7 m suits awkward bays, and 10 m suits distant chargers. Longer cables are heavier and bulkier to store.
It fits vehicles with a Type 2 inlet, including cars with a CCS2 combo inlet when charging on AC. Check the charging port or manual. If you’re unsure, send us your make, model and year and we’ll help you check before you order.
Generally yes, as long as the station has a Type 2 socket. Power will be limited by the single-phase supply. Confirm with your station’s manual.
Both versions are designed for outdoor charging (IP55 for 7.2kW, IP65 for 22kW). Keep connectors fully mated while charging, don’t submerge them, and stop using the cable if it’s damaged.
No. This is a cable only. You need a station or wallbox with a Type 2 socket.

I'm genuinely blown away by the quality of this charging cable.

The weight of the cable, it's thickness, the superb clarity of the instructions, the specification information and the polish of the presentation are just amazing.

There's a very high quality fine and smooth microfibre cloth with a chamois like backing included in the pack. It's a very professional looking grey colour and it feels soft and oozing with quality.

It's sums up the whole package including the carry case into which the coiled cable fits perfectly. Even the zipper on the carry bag is excellent - smooth running and nicely designed.

Even the cable ties are high quality with professional branding and a very nice colour contrast design. The velcro is strong and it keeps the cable tightly coiled in order to place it into the bag easily.

The first thing to strike me about the cable itself was its weight. It is reassuringly heavy and easily matches high cost premium cables. It's a three phase 32A cable capable of charging at up to 22KW.

The cable has the size specifications clearly printed on it. The box has a specifications label that details the current and power carrying capacity.

The plugs are very nicely moulded with clean white plastic with blue detailing nearest to the cable end. Each plug has a nicely coloured Elevo Charger logo and clearly printed charging specifications on the plug in an easy to see position. There's a protective rubber/plastic cap that fits easily and snugly over the end of the plug. This is especially good if the cable isn't going to be stored in the bag after every use because it prevents dust from getting into the plug/socket. I really do like the fact that each plug has a protective cap and it's great that the caps are so easy to fit.

At 5m the cable is a generous standard length.

I'm able to use it at home without any problem using a single phase supply. When I've had to use it on the move at public charging stations that don't have a captive cable it works brilliantly. I haven't found a rapid charger, up to 22KW, that doesn't have a captive cable.

The value for money provided by this cable is beyond excellent. The quality of every part of the cable, from the cable itself to the plugs to the carry bag, microfibre cloth and colour printed instruction booklet, is superb.

It feels like a premium quality charging cable in every way. The performance is also excellent.

I would very strongly recommend this cable as a main use cable at home and as the main cable stored in the car. I would also recommend it as a backup cable although it is really too good to be used only as a backup cable.

i parked and charged off a street charger and it was barely enough at 5m. charging worked fine

As a new EV owner i have no idea.

This cable will let me charge at AC charges that dont have their own cable. This does NOT include fast DC chargers.
I have yet to do an AC charge station yet, other than the slowpoke charger at home.

Good things:
- if fits in the 'underfloor space' of my ioniq 5
- the plug fits the car snug.

Things to know:
- despite fitting into the granny charger, it's very loose and wont work like an extension cable
- extremely strong velcro on the bag. Sticks really hard.
- very strong velcro on cable that is thankfully reversible so it doesnt get stuck on the carpet, again and again.

This has turned out to be a really handy bit of kit to keep in the boot. We didn't get one of these cables with our EV. It feels properly solid and well-built, the 5m length is spot on for most parking situations, and the connectors click in firmly with no fuss or random disconnects. I really like the included carry bag and little extras like the cleaning cloth and clearly marked ends – they actually make day‑to‑day use easier. It charges quickly and reliably, though the cable is quite thick and a bit rigid, so it does take up more space and doesn’t coil super neatly.

Having a reliable spare charging cable is always worthwhile for any EV owner, and this Type 2 to Type 2 cable has impressed me with its quality from the moment it arrived. It's supplied in a durable storage bag along with a cleaning cloth, and the bag itself has handy Velcro strips on the back so it can be secured in the boot instead of sliding around while driving—a thoughtful touch that adds to the overall practicality.

The cable feels extremely well made, with a thick yet flexible construction that inspires confidence without being awkward to handle. The connectors fit securely into both the vehicle and compatible charging points, providing a solid, reassuring connection. At 5 metres long, it offers enough reach for most parking situations without leaving excessive cable to manage afterwards.

Supporting charging speeds of up to 22kW (where both the vehicle and charging point allow), it's well suited to drivers who regularly use higher-powered home or public chargers. Naturally, actual charging speeds will depend on the capabilities of the car and charging infrastructure, so it's worth checking compatibility if you're hoping to make full use of the cable's maximum rating.

In everyday use, the cable performed reliably with no connection issues or interruptions. It's clearly designed to withstand regular outdoor use, while remaining straightforward to coil up and store after charging.

Overall, this is a high-quality, dependable charging cable that combines excellent build quality with useful accessories and thoughtful design features. Whether you're replacing an existing cable or keeping a spare in the car, it feels like a durable, well-specified accessory that should provide years of reliable service.

As a side note, I was also able to use the cable to charge my large Lithium battery power station as it has an EV type 2 input, so that will help when I’m out in my campervan too.

Heavy duty & quality cable

I ordered this 5 Meter 22KW 32A cable as it is future-proof and I hope to install a more powerful home charger soon. Here in Australia, this kind of Type 2 to Type 2 cable is typically used to connect to free AC chargers at shopping centres, councils, and parking lots.22kW can only be supplied by sites that have 3 phase power - this is pretty rare. In my practical tests, I only managed to charge at 7kW as that is the maximum that I currently have access to in my area.Nonetheless, the heft of this cable immediately tells you this is an excellent heavy-duty cable and will definitely be safe even when charging your vehicle in the extreme summer temperatures Australia can be subject to. It is significantly thicker and heavier when compared to a 7KW cable. The caps are strong, with good flexible rubber - definitely water tight when they're on.I'm pleased with the packaging - it definitely looks premium, unlike some of the cheap non-descript chinese gear. In the strong cardboard box are a nice carry bag, quality velcro straps for cable management, a high quality microfibre cloth, and a manual. The cloth is so nice and thick I actually use it to wash my car's interior :D

A Reliable EV Cable With Length to Spare

This EV charging cable has been a reliable addition to my charging setup. The 5-metre length gives me enough slack to plug in from either side of the car without stretching, which takes the guesswork out of where to park. It works perfectly with my Ioniq 5.The IP55 rating gives me confidence leaving it out in the elements, and the TPU casing feels durable. It charges at the full 22kW speed, and knowing it carries RCM and TUV certification adds a bit of peace of mind on the safety side. The included carry bag and strap keep storage neat when it is not in use. Good length, solid build and dependable charging. A sensible cable for everyday EV use at home.

Well-built cable, easily hit the max charge rate my car can handle

The build quality on this one stands out straight away. The connectors at each end are properly finished, solid weight, tight fit, no cheap feel that you sometimes get with some charging cables. Plugging in and out at both the car and the charge point feels secure, no wobble or looseness at the connection point.Charging performance is exactly where it needs to be, ran it at 11kW which is the maximum my Tesla will accept, and it delivered that without any issues. The 22kW rating is still useful even though the car can only accept 11kw as it also allows 240v @ 22A = 7kW charging if you only have single phase available, which many sites do.The carrying bag that comes with it is a nice touch and better than expected. It's properly made, not just a flimsy pouch, and has a Velcro strip on the base that sticks to the boot carpet so it doesn't slide around when driving. Small detail, but it's the kind of thing that makes a real difference when you're using it regularly and just makes it that much more functional.Cable itself feels tough enough for outdoor use too, flexible without being floppy, and the length is generous enough to reach most home and public charging setups without a fight. Overall, a properly engineered cable that does exactly what it says.

High Quality EV Charging Cable

I ordered this cable to give myself more flexibility when using public chargers, particularly those untethered chargers where you need to supply your own cable. Having now tested it, I'm very happy with it.The cable feels very well made and is surprisingly lightweight and flexible for a 22kW, 32A, 3-phase charging cable. I've used other heavy-duty cables before that can be quite stiff and awkward to handle, but this one coils up easily and is straightforward to use.The plugs fit securely and it really is a simple plug-and-play experience. The specifications are also printed on the base of the plugs, which is a nice touch if you have multiple cables and need to quickly identify them. The included accessories are useful. You get a carry bag, cleaning cloth and storage strap, which makes it easy to keep everything neat and organised in the boot without ending up with a tangle of cable. The 5-metre length has been sufficient for my use so far, although at some public chargers you may need to think a little about how you position the car.The cable itself feels robust and durable, with good weather protection for outdoor use. It inspires confidence that it will hold up well over time.Overall, this is a quality EV charging cable that does exactly what it is supposed to do. If you use public chargers that require you to bring your own Type 2 cable, or have the correct setup at home, this is a practical and well-made option that I would happily recommend.Pros:>Supports up to 22kW (32A, 3-phase) charging>Feels durable while remaining relatively lightweight and flexible>Plug-and-play and easy to use>Includes a quality carry bag, storage strap and cleaning cloth>Compatible with Type 2 and CCS2 vehiclesCons:>The 5-metre cable length is adequate, but at some public charging locations a longer cable could be useful

Plug into charger, plug into car, charge. Easy as!

This 22 kW Type 2/Type 2 cable is a solid upgrade for anyone who wants fast, reliable charging. It’s lightweight and efficient , fully compatible with all Type 2 and CCS EVs in Australia. Examples are the Model 3/Y, Sealion 7, 7X, Atto 1-3, EX5, MG4, etc., and tough enough for outdoor use thanks to its IP55 and fire‑resistant TPU build. The 5‑metre length and carry bag make it easy to store and keep it neat and compact. These are great for organisation and storage and save space in your boot/frunk keeping them cable-spaghetti free. My favourite part? The “plug and play” design — because sometimes the best instructions really are: plug into charger, plug into car, and try not to look too proud while it charges.I haven't actually used this yet as I charge mostly at home and the chargers I do use typically have cables attached already, but this cable will open up a greater range of chargers.

This Type 2 to Type 2 EV charging cable is a well-made, dependable accessory that delivers exactly what you'd expect from a high-capacity charging lead. Rated for up to 22kW (32A, 3-phase), it's suitable for fast AC charging when paired with compatible vehicles and charging infrastructure.Build quality is excellent, with a thick, durable cable that feels robust without being unnecessarily difficult to handle. The connectors fit securely into both the vehicle and charging point, providing a reassuring connection, while the 5-metre length offers plenty of flexibility for home charging and public charging bays. The included storage bag is a particularly useful addition, helping keep the cable tidy in the boot and preventing it from sliding around. Small extras, such as the cleaning cloth and clearly marked connectors, add to the overall practicality and make everyday use a little easier. In use, the cable performs flawlessly, establishing a reliable charging connection without fuss. It also opens up access to many destination chargers for vehicles that don't include a Type 2 cable as standard, making public charging much more convenient. While the cable is naturally thicker and heavier than lower-powered alternatives, that's to be expected given its 22kW rating and robust construction. Overall, this is a high-quality charging cable that offers excellent reliability, thoughtful accessories and great value for EV owners looking for a durable replacement or spare.

Really quality cable!

I've been really impressed with this cable. It's a full-range Type-2 cable, supporting up to the max 22kW (so it's fine at 7, 11 and 22). And it's charged fine up to 22kW at the right charging stations with my EV, no issues at all.The build quality is great, it feels sturdy and well made, with quality materials, joinings, strain relief, etc. Both ends come with attached rubber dust covers for keeping the plugs clean. It comes with some cable straps too.The length is nice, plenty. The whole kit is really well produced to be honest. The cables comes in a nice zipup bag that has a velcro-type backing to help it stick to rough surfaces. It came with a cleaning cloth too.Very nice kit all up, I have no worries about quality, and it's done everything it's needed to. Quite a lot better than some older more rickety cables I've had in the past.
